Lone Star College has been redefining the community college experience to support student success for 50 years. Beginning with 613 students taking classes at Aldine High School to welcoming more than 80,000 students in over 20 locations each semester, the LSC story is one of tremendous foresight, academic growth and a determination to provide a high-quality education that is both affordable and close to home.
Today, LSC remains focused on the five pillars of its foundation: Academic and Workforce Program Quality, Student Success, Financial Responsibility and Accountability, Culture and Partnerships. These mainstays have helped LSC become one of the largest community colleges in the nation and be known worldwide as a leader in higher education.
