Lone Star College has offered online learning since the early 1990s. One lesson learned from the COVID-19 pandemic was that students not only relied on virtual instruction more, but many also excelled with it.

In fall 2021, 57% of LSC students took online classes with another 23% taking hybrid classes (a combination of face-to-face and online classes). LSC awarded 9,476 degrees and certificates to students during its spring 2022 commencement celebrations, representing a 2% increase from 2021.

To help address this growing demand, Lone Star College has added LSC-Online in Fall 2022 as its eighth official campus to help address the need for additional virtual learning opportunities. LSC-Online is an independent campus overseen by Seelpa Keshvala, Ph.D., Executive Vice Chancellor/CEO of LSC-Online.

Lone Star College-Online offers fully online degrees and individual online classes - flexible options to help you achieve your goals.

“The focus of LSC-Online will be offering classes and resources for students who want to complete a program fully online,” said Keshvala. “Lone Star College will now provide a guaranteed schedule through this new college that will allow students to earn their degree in two years.

In addition to offering more than 30 online programs, this eighth college will feature comprehensive, 100% online student support services such as advising, tutoring, library services and 24/7 technical support as well as distinguished faculty who specialize in online teaching and learning.
