Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give." That quote truly sums up the mission of Lone Star College Foundation. For more than 30 years, LSC Foundation works every day to reduce the financial barriers to a quality college education.
LSC Foundation not only helps our students lead better lives but also has a positive impact on the community. 91% of Lone Star College students remain here and become the backbone of a prosperous and functioning society. This combination of higher student incomes and increased business productivity adds nearly $3 billion to the Houston economy.
Funds raised by LSC Foundation activities help to support many college programs, including the Student Success Institute, the Center for Civic Engagement, emergency funds, mini-grants and many others.
LSC Foundation builds relationships with individuals, corporations and nonprofit organizations through a robust fundraising program that includes corporate partnerships, major gifts, employee giving and its two signature events: The Annual Drive for Scholarships Golf Tournament and StarGala Auction and Dinner.
There are so many amazing stories taking place at LSC Foundation. We hope you will take a moment to learn more and see what an incredible “Impact” people like you can have on our students.
